CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS 2006
The 30 days Centenary celebrations were inaugurated by
His Highness Padmanabhadasa Utradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma,The Maharaja
of Travancore on 5.11.2006 at 5.30 pm.Bishop Rt.Rev.Dr.J.W.Gladstone
presided the meeting.Rt.Rev.S.Vasantha Kumar(Deputy Moderator, CSI) was
the Chief Guest. The Centenary celebrations were inaugurated in right
earnest by Mr.Sakthan Nadar, Minister of Transport Kerala State on
1-1-2006 in the 8 A.M. Sunday Service. In his address Mr. Sakthan
suggested that a community hall be constructed in the campus so that a
large number of people both members and non-members of the Church will be
benefited. It was an occasion to step back in time and discover what the
founding fathers from far off countries had done to liberate our community
from bondage. He also stressed the need of uplifting the poor people from
poverty and to render all sorts of assistance like providing of housing,
marriage aid etc. He congratulated M.M.Church for launching such projects
in connection with the Centenenary Celebrations which would ultimately
bring benefits to the people below poverty line.
At 6.pm the centenary choir in full uniform
presented a few numbers. It was the result of untiring efforts of the
choir leaders Mr.A.Joshua, Choir Master, Dr.G.O.Robertson, Vice
President,
Mr.StanlyWilson Choir
Secretary, Mr. A.E.J Benedict, Mr.Premchand, Mr.S.P.Thomas,
Mr.Livingstone, Mr.Amarnath I Paul, Mr.Devakumar and a host of singers
numbering about 100. Mr.Jayakumar Alfred, Church Secretary welcomed the
gathering. Rt.Rev. M.I.Kesary and his wife graced the occasion with their
presence. Rt. Rev. M.I.Kesari in his exhortations advised the congregation
to carry on the great works done by missionaries of the past. A large
gathering was there listening with rapt attention, enthralled by the great
music and harmony rendered by the Centenary Choir.
It was an occasion
to be remembered and cherished.

Arranged a falicitation meeting in honour of
Shri.T.Jayakumar Alfred and Shri.Yohannan, on 26.2.2006(Sunday) in the
Church in connection with the completion of 'THIRTY-YEARS' of service to
the Church as deacon.
Bishop J.W.Gladstone graced the occasion with His
presence.
